Hatching eggs are a living product. Their success depends on biology, handling, incubation, and timing. This page explains what you can expect—and what is outside anyone’s control—so every order begins with clarity.
Before Your Eggs Ship
All Genesis Hatching Eggs are:
• collected from healthy, mature breeding stock
• selected for cleanliness and shell integrity
• never washed or chemically treated
• stored properly prior to shipping
Eggs are shipped fresh, but fertility and development are influenced by breeder age, genetics, and natural variation. These factors are normal and unavoidable in any breeding program.
Shipping Reality
Shipping is the highest-risk stage for hatching eggs.
Despite careful packing, eggs may experience:
• temperature fluctuations
• vibration or impact
• orientation changes
We pack eggs using methods designed to reduce movement and cushion shock, but once a package enters the carrier system, handling is beyond our control.
For this reason:
• shipping delays
• rough handling
• extreme weather
• carrier errors
can affect hatch results.
Upon Arrival: What To Do When your eggs arrive:
- Open the box immediately
- Inspect eggs for damage
- Allow eggs to rest 12–24 hours, pointed end down, at room temperature
- Do not rush eggs directly into an incubator
Resting allows internal structures to settle after transit and improves the chances of a successful hatch.
Incubation Is the Buyer’s Responsibility
Once eggs are delivered, incubation success depends on:
• incubator quality and calibration
• temperature and humidity control
• egg turning practices
• sanitation
• experience level
Because these variables are outside our control, we cannot guarantee hatch rates.
This is standard practice across reputable hatching egg sellers.
Refunds & Replacements
Due to the nature of hatching eggs:
• We do not offer refunds based on hatch rate
• We do not replace eggs that fail to hatch
• We will address issues involving severe damage in transit when documented promptly
Please contact us within 24 hours of delivery with clear photos if eggs arrive broken or crushed.
